The owner of this Motor Car got in touch to say he had just purchased it from The Guild of Automotive Restorers in Ontario, Canada. Here is the original advert:
With only 16,000mi, this 1998 Bentley Brooklands R Mulliner is Number 37/100.
Bentley used the LWB chassis to produce a limited edition run of just 100 cars fitted with every conceivable factory option as the final incarnation of the legendary Turbo ‘R’ series. Each car has a dashboard-mounted plaque verifying its number in the series. Costing around £135,000 new, this exclusive model was always destined to be highly collectible.
The motor is a 6.75L V8 featuring a Garrett light pressure turbo, the Brooklands R was said to make ~300bhp. The interior is in very nice shape, there has been a Bluetooth/CD radio fitted with voice control. The seats are cream hide, power adjustable with heat and lumbar. They show very nicely although there is some wear on the drivers bolster. The carpets are lambswool and in nice shape too. The veneer is showing some age and the clear is cracking/peeling in some areas. Repair can be negotiated in closing. The Engine is in good health with a recent fluid flush, including transmission filter and gasket. Brakes were serviced and two tires were replaced. The original tool kit remains in the trunk with the factory amplifier and full-size spare tire.
