1997 Bentley Brooklands R Mulliner in Peacock Blue with unmarked sandstone leather interior. Dark blue toproll and matching dark blue carpets.
Car number 52 of 100 of this last of the line SZ series model. All Mulliner R’s were built on the lwb chassis and have a 325bhp variant of the light pressure turbo 6. 75ltr engine.
Subject to much recent expense including £2500 of trim work at Frank Dale’s. walnut door cappings were removed and relacquered and a £3300 service at a Rolls Royce and Bentley specialist.

Lot 141A: Bentley Brooklands R Green Label
British Heritage + Classic & Collectors, Barons (30 July 2013)The Brooklands R special edition was introduced in 1996 and limited to just 100 cars making it instantly a future collectors item. All used the long wheel base RL version of the Turbo R range. The model was equipped with twin turbochargers giving an output of 350 BHP and a whopping 420 lb/ft of torque, sufficient to power the 2.3 ton vehicle to 150 mph and a 0-60mph time of 6.7 seconds. As with all Turbo R’s, the suspension is considerably firmer than the less powerful models. Other unique features to the Brooklands R range include the chrome wire mesh sports grille, 18″ alloy whells fitted with 285/45 low profile tyres, wingside air intakes and enlarged exhaust tailpipe. They also feature as standard the optional centre floor-console mounted gear lever. Each car has its production number from 1 to 100 displayed on a plaque on the dashboard. The car offered here is one of the limited edition “Green Label” Brooklands R Mulliner, It is finished in Peacock blue and is equipped with magnolia hide interior. The car is described as being in beautiful condition and is offered complete with maintenance history, an MoT through to February 2014 and is taxed through to September 2013.
