The vendor’s description:

The Bentley Brooklands was unveiled in 1992 as a replacement for the Mulsanne and Eight models. It used the chassis modifications introduced for the Turbo R and so had much sharper handling than its predecessors. It carried over the well tried 6750cc V8, now producing some 300bhp. As with the previous range, this was not considered enough for some and so in 1996 the Brooklands R was introduced.  This added twin turbochargers, the engine pumping out around 350bhp with a monstrous 420lb ft of torque giving the leviathan a top speed of over 150mph and a 0-60mph time of just 6.7seconds.

As if the new model needed more refinement, Mulliner offered for sale just 100 special versions. These gained a number of sporting features, including a sports grille, colour coded bumpers with chrome tops and a lower mesh front spoiler, side air intakes, badges, new 18” wheels with 285/45 tyres and subtle improvements to the interior trim.

This Bentley Brooklands R Mulliner is number 48 of 100 and has had just one owner from new. In elegant Brooklands Green with Magnolia leather it has been very well cared for and has accumulated 88,000 miles over the last 13 years. Purchased new through Broughtons of Cheltenham, it has a full service history through the supplying dealer and latterly with Bentley Birmingham. Complete with the original drivers handbook, supplementary Mulliner handbook and service book, it also has the correct Bentley fitted car cover and factory trickle charger. It is MOT’d until February 2012 and taxed until September 2011.

This exclusive and powerful one owner Bentley is a most impressive car, which has been fully maintained and well cared for its entire life. It will carry an age related number by the time of the sale.
